Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Set your Instant Pot to sauté mode and add the olive oil.
- Sprinkle the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper over the chicken breasts.
- Place the chicken in the pot and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
- Pour in the BBQ sauce and chicken broth, ensuring the chicken is well covered.
- Close the lid and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
- Once the timer goes off, let the pressure release naturally for 5 minutes, then perform a quick release for the remaining pressure.
- Remove the chicken and shred it using two forks, mixing it back with the sauce in the pot.
- Enjoy on buns, rice, or with a side of veggies!
Notes
For added flavor, let the chicken marinate with spices for a few hours. Use the sauté function to reduce the sauce for thickness.
