Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, seasoning it with salt and pepper. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Layer the sliced potatoes in the bottom of a baking dish.
  4. Spread the browned ground beef over the potatoes.
  5. Pour the cream of mushroom soup evenly over the beef.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

Can substitute cream of mushroom soup with cream of chicken for a different flavor. Add vegetables like broccoli or carrots for added nutrition.
