- 2 slices of thick bread (sourdough or sandwich bread)
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
- 1 tablespoon butter (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or chives (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- If desired, lightly butter one side of each bread slice.
- Press a small well into the center of each slice of bread.
- Crack one egg into each well, taking care not to break the yolk.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese around the edges or over the egg whites.
- Air fry the toast for 6–8 minutes, or until the egg whites are set and cheese is melted.
- Season with salt, pepper, and herbs before serving hot.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for 1-2 months. Reheat in the air fryer or toaster for optimal texture.
