- 1 cup dill pickles (or your preferred pickles)
- ½ cup cornmeal
- ½ cup flour
- 1 egg
- ½ cup buttermilk
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg and buttermilk until fully combined.
- Dip each pickle slice into the buttermilk mixture, allowing any excess to drip off, then coat it in the cornmeal mixture.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Place the coated pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce!
Notes
For extra crunch, let the coated pickles sit for a few minutes before air frying. Experiment with different spices for unique flavors.
