  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Crunchy and tangy air fryer fried pickles, perfect for snacking or as an appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup dill pickles (or your preferred pickles)
  • ½ cup cornmeal
  • ½ cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the egg and buttermilk until fully combined.
  4. Dip each pickle slice into the buttermilk mixture, allowing any excess to drip off, then coat it in the cornmeal mixture.
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  6. Place the coated pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  7. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown.
  8. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce!

Notes

For extra crunch, let the coated pickles sit for a few minutes before air frying. Experiment with different spices for unique flavors.
