  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups chopped apples
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another large bowl, mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, and oil until smooth.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix well.
  5. Gradually stir in the flour mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped apples and walnuts (if using).
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for about 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
