  • 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs, then mix in the vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and milk.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped apples to distribute them evenly in the batter.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping, then sprinkle half of this mixture over the first layer of batter.
  8. Add the remaining batter on top, then sprinkle the remainder of the cinnamon sugar mix.
  9. Use a knife or skewer to swirl through the batter for a marbled look.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  11. Allow it to cool slightly before mixing the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the glaze. Drizzle it over the cooled bread.
  12. Slice and serve!
