Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, diced onion, milk, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
  3. Form the mixture into patties and place them in a greased baking dish.
  4. Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the patties to coat them.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until fully cooked with an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  6. If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  7. Serve warm with mashed potatoes.

Notes

Mix thoroughly for the best flavor and texture. Add herbs or Worcestershire sauce for extra flavor. Feel free to use ground turkey or plant-based meat as alternatives.
