Description

A delicious dessert that captures the flavors of fall with a rich apple butter filling.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups apple butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the apple butter, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and salt until well combined.
  3. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly puffed.
  5. Allow to cool before slicing.
  6. Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally with whipped cream.
