Ingredients

  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced apples, 1/3 cup of granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the apples start to soften.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch and water to form a slurry, then add it to the apple mixture. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Separate the biscuit dough into individual pieces and flatten each to about 1/4-inch thickness.
  6. Place a tablespoon of the apple filling in the center of each biscuit, fold and pinch edges to seal.
  7. Dip each ball in melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture until coated.
  8. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Best enjoyed warm!

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce for added indulgence. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for longer storage.
