- 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, melt the 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
- Add the diced apples, 1/3 cup of granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the apples start to soften.
- In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch and water to form a slurry, then add it to the apple mixture. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Separate the biscuit dough into individual pieces and flatten each to about 1/4-inch thickness.
- Place a tablespoon of the apple filling in the center of each biscuit, fold and pinch edges to seal.
- Dip each ball in melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture until coated.
- Place seam-side down on the baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Best enjoyed warm!
Notes
Serve with vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce for added indulgence. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or freeze for longer storage.
