- 1 French baguette or Italian bread
- 2 cups ripe tomatoes, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Balsamic glaze for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice the bread into 1/2-inch thick pieces.
- Brush one side of each slice with olive oil.
- Sprinkle parmesan cheese on the oiled sides.
- Bake for 5-7 minutes until crispy and cheese has melted.
- In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, and remaining olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
- Once the toasts are ready, top each slice with the tomato mixture.
- Drizzle with balsamic glaze and serve immediately!
Notes
Bruschetta is best enjoyed fresh out of the oven. Store the tomato mixture and toasted bread separately in airtight containers. Reheat the toasts in the oven to retain crispiness.
