- 1 cup rice
- 2 cups water
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- Raisins (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bring water to a boil in a pot, then add the rice. Cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the rice is tender.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt, stirring to blend.
- Once the rice is cooked, stir it into the milk mixture.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then incorporate them into the rice mixture.
- If using, fold in the raisins.
- Pour everything into a greased baking dish and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until it’s set and lightly golden on top.
- Allow it to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy it warm or chilled!
Notes
Serve warm with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a dollop of whipped cream. Pairs well with caramel sauce or fresh berries.
