- 1½ cups mashed bananas (approximately 3 ripe bananas)
- ½ cup nut butter (peanut, almond, or any other nut butter you prefer)
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, nut butter, rolled oats, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, chocolate chips, and salt. Mix until everything is evenly incorporated.
- Transfer the mixture to the lined baking pan, pressing it down into an even layer.
- Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is set.
- Cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
Notes
Use overripe bananas for added sweetness. Feel free to customize with nuts or dried fruits.
