Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion becomes translucent.
  3. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper, mixing well.
  4. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and beans. Stir to combine.
  5. Bring the mixture to a simmer. Lower the heat, cover, and let it simmer for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot, garnished with your favorite toppings.
