- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion becomes translucent.
- Stir in the chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper, mixing well.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes and beans. Stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer. Lower the heat, cover, and let it simmer for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot, garnished with your favorite toppings.
Notes
Chili can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat thoroughly before serving.
