Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy and smooth.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing on low speed until fully incorporated and thick.
- Add the heavy cream, peppermint extract, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Beat until smooth and pliable.
- If desired, divide the dough and add food coloring to each portion, kneading until evenly distributed.
- Roll the dough into small balls or ropes and cut into bite-sized pieces. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Allow the mints to air dry at room temperature for at least 240 minutes or until firm. Store in an airtight container.
