Ingredients
- Rice paper wrappers
- Lean ground beef or turkey
- Shredded lettuce
- Diced tomato
- Sliced pickles
- Shredded cheddar cheese
- Finely chopped onion
- Thousand Island dressing or another tangy sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the lean ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Fill a shallow dish with warm water and dip each rice paper wrapper until pliable.
- Place the softened rice paper on a flat surface and layer a small amount of cooked protein, shredded lettuce, diced tomato, sliced pickles, cheddar cheese, and chopped onion in the center.
- Drizzle a bit of Thousand Island dressing over the fillings.
- Fold the sides of the rice paper over the fillings, then roll tightly from the bottom to encase everything securely.
- Serve immediately with extra sauce for dipping on the side.
