  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Gluten-Free (with breadcrumb substitution)

Description

Hearty Italian meatballs that offer rich flavor and satisfying texture, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian seasoned)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and pork until well blended.
  3. Stir in the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, fresh parsley, minced garlic, and egg. Add in the salt, pepper, oregano, basil, and milk. Mix everything together until just combined; avoid over-mixing to keep them tender.
  4. Shape the mixture into meatballs, aiming for about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.
  5. Place your meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, giving them a bit of space.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and nicely browned.

Notes

Can substitute ground pork with turkey or chicken for a lighter version. For added flavor, consider adding a splash of red wine or fresh herbs.
