- 1 package Little Smokies (mini smoked sausages)
- 1 package regular-cut bacon (cut in half)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- Black pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Cut your bacon slices in half for wrapping.
- Wrap each Little Smokie with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
- In a zip-top bag, add brown sugar and the bacon-wrapped sausages, gently shake to coat.
- Arrange the coated Little Smokies on the baking sheet in a single layer. Optionally sprinkle leftover brown sugar and black pepper on top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the sugar has caramelized.
- For extra crispiness, broil for 1-2 minutes, watching closely.
- Let cool slightly before serving warm.
