Description

Delightful cookies that blend brown sugar and maple syrup for a soft, chewy treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for the glaze)
  • 23 tablespoons maple syrup (for the glaze)

Instructions

  2. In a large bowl, cream together the brown sugar and softened butter until smooth and creamy.
  3. Beat in the maple syrup and egg until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set.
  7. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. For the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar and maple syrup until smooth, then drizzle it over the cooled cookies.
