Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan by greasing it and lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a large mixing bowl and add in the sugar, stirring until well mixed.
  3. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, blending thoroughly after each. Then mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  5. <li gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined; avoid overmixing.

  6. Pour the batter into your prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  9. Once cooled, spread a thin layer of chocolate frosting on top and sprinkle with colorful sprinkles.
