Description

A nostalgic favorite green bean casserole featuring creamy mushroom sauce and crispy onions, perfect for holidays and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (14.5 oz each) green beans, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup French-fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and half of the French-fried onions.
  3. Season the mixture with salt and pepper according to your taste preference.
  4. Pour the creamy bean mixture into a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until it’s heated through and bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining French-fried onions on top.
  7. Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the onions are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For a creamier texture, add a dollop of sour cream or cream cheese before baking. For a cheesy twist, toss in a cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
