  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

A warm, cheesy delight that transforms the classic Italian salad into a flavorful dip, perfect for gatherings or weeknight treats.

Ingredients

  • Fresh tomatoes, chopped
  • Garlic, minced
  • Fresh basil, chopped
  • Cheese (mozzarella or cream cheese)
  • Olive oil, for drizzling
  • Salt, to taste
  • Crusty bread, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped fresh tomatoes, minced garlic, and chopped fresh basil. Add a pinch of salt.
  3. In a baking dish, mix the tomato mixture with cheese and drizzle olive oil over the top.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
  5. Serve warm with slices of crusty bread for dipping.

Notes

For a twist, try adding sun-dried tomatoes, using feta cheese, or incorporating grilled vegetables. Roasting tomatoes and garlic deepens their flavor.
