Description
A delightful dessert combining creamy cheesecake with tart apples and rich caramel, perfect for gatherings and family nights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter until fully combined. Press this mixture into the bottom of the greased dish to form a crust. Bake for 10 minutes.
- While the crust is baking, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract and sour cream until combined.
- Gently fold in the diced apples and cinnamon until evenly distributed.
- Pour the cheesecake mixture over the baked crust, spreading it evenly.
- Drizzle caramel sauce on top and use a knife to swirl it into the cheesecake layer.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheesecake is set.
- Let the bars cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing. Enjoy!
Notes
For the best results, ensure your cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing, and consider using homemade caramel sauce for richer flavor.
