Description

A delightful dessert combining sweet and tart apples, rich cream cheese, and gooey caramel, perfect for fall gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chopped apples (such as Granny Smith)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar until well combined. Press mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and 3/4 cup sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crust.
  5. In another bowl, combine chopped apples with cinnamon and nutmeg. Spread the apple mixture over the cheesecake layer. Drizzle caramel sauce on top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are set. Let cool in the pan, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing into bars.

Notes

For serving, top with whipped cream or extra cinnamon for added flavor and garnish.
