- 1 package of brownie mix (follow the additional ingredient instructions on the package)
- 24 ounces (three 8-ounce packages) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
- Whipped cream for topping
- Chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- Prepare the brownie mix following the package instructions.
- Pour the brownie batter into the greased pan and bake according to package instructions. Allow it to cool completely.
- Once cooled, reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (160°C).
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese with the sugar until smooth, about 2 minutes.
- Add vanilla, eggs, sour cream, and heavy cream into the cream cheese mixture and blend until smooth.
- Pour the cheesecake batter over the cooled brownie base.
- Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the cheesecake and create a marbled effect with a knife.
- Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
- Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool gradually in the oven for about an hour.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- Garnish with whipped cream, extra caramel sauce, and chocolate shavings before serving.
Notes
For an extra touch, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or fresh fruit. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
