Description

Delicious taquitos filled with crab, shrimp, and melted cheese, perfectly crispy and fun to eat!


Ingredients

  • 10 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1 cup queso cheese (or cheese of your choice)
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)
  • Sour cream or salsa, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked crab and chopped shrimp with the cheeses, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and warm the corn tortillas, about 30 seconds on each side, until they’re pliable.
  3. Spoon a generous portion of your filling onto each tortilla, then roll them tightly to form taquitos.
  4. In a deep skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully fry the taquitos until they are golden brown and crispy—about 3 to 4 minutes per side.
  5. Remove the taquitos from the oil and let them drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro, and enjoy with sour cream or salsa on the side.

Notes

For extra crispy taquitos, consider double-frying them. Customize the filling by adding jalapeños for spice or using different types of seafood.
