Description

A delightful twist on traditional grilled cheese, combining buttery garlic bread, shrimp, and melted cheese for a quick and tasty meal.


Ingredients

  • Thickness of bread (e.g., sourdough or Texas toast)
  • 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with minced garlic.
  3. Slather the garlicky butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  4. On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, followed by cooked shrimp.
  5. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
  6. Cook in the skillet until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, replace shrimp with sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or marinated artichokes.
