- Thickness of bread (e.g., sourdough or Texas toast)
- 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
- 4 tablespoons butter
- ½ cup mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter with minced garlic.
- Slather the garlicky butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, followed by cooked shrimp.
- Top with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Cook in the skillet until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, replace shrimp with sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or marinated artichokes.
