  • 1 cup long-grain rice, uncooked
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 (10.75 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic until the beef is browned, draining any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the uncooked rice, beef broth, and cream of mushroom soup. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Cover it with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  5. Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider browning the beef with Worcestershire sauce. You can use pre-cooked rice to cut down on prep time.
