Instructions

  2. In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, brown sugar, softened butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips if using.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  7. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
