Description

A delightful twist on a classic, Chicken Alfredo served in warm, toasted bread bowls for a fun and comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 3 pieces Chicken breasts, cut into cubes
  • 1 pound Pasta (penne, fettuccine, or your choice)
  • 6 pieces Kaiser rolls
  • 1 jar Alfredo sauce (about 15 oz)
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 34 teaspoons Garlic and herb seasoning
  • 1/2 cup Shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Season the chicken cubes with garlic and herb seasoning, salt, and pepper. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the chicken in olive oil for 6-8 minutes, or until it’s cooked through.
  2. Cook the pasta: Boil salted water in a large pot and cook your chosen pasta until al dente. Once done, drain well and set aside.
  3. Hollow the rolls: Slice the tops off the kaiser rolls, and gently hollow out the centers to create bread bowls.
  4. Butter and season the rolls: Combine the melted butter with the garlic and herb seasoning. Brush the mixture generously on the inside and edges of the bread bowls.
  5. Bake the bowls: Place the prepared bread bowls in the oven at 375°F (190°C) and bake for about 4-5 minutes until they are lightly toasted.
  6. Mix the sauce: In a bowl, combine the drained pasta and Alfredo sauce with the cooked chicken, stirring until everything is well coated.
  7. Fill the bowls: Carefully fill the toasted bread bowls with the chicken Alfredo mixture and top with shredded parmesan cheese.
  8. Melt the cheese: Return the filled bowls to the oven for an additional 4-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.
  9. Serve: Enjoy hot, garnished with parsley or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes to add a bit of color and spice.

Notes

Serve with a fresh green salad or roasted vegetables for a fuller meal. Store separately in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
