Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 6 strips bacon
  • Salt/Pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 small boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta (Rotini recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing seasoning mix

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a large skillet over low heat until crisp. Remove from heat, chop, and reserve some drippings.
  2. Season and slice chicken breasts. Sear in reserved drippings until golden and cooked through. Let rest before cubing.
  3. Boil pasta in salted water until al dente, then drain.
  4. Melt butter in the same skillet, sauté garlic, add flour, and gradually whisk in half and half until thickened. Stir in ranch seasoning and cheese.
  5. Add cooked pasta and cubed chicken to the sauce, mix, and garnish with crispy bacon. Serve warm.
