- 6 strips bacon
- 2 small boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups uncooked rotini pasta
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cups half and half
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing seasoning mix
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Cook the bacon until crispy in a large skillet over low heat. Set aside and reserve drippings.
- Prepare the chicken by slicing and seasoning it. Sear in the reserved bacon drippings until golden.
- Boil the pasta in salted water until al dente, then drain.
- Make the sauce by melting butter, sautéing garlic, adding flour, then whisking in half and half and seasoning.
- Combine the cooked pasta and cubed chicken with the sauce, and garnish with crispy bacon bits.
Notes
For added flavor, consider garnishing with fresh parsley and serving with garlic bread.
