Ingredients

  • 6 strips bacon
  • 2 small boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups uncooked rotini pasta
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing seasoning mix
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon until crispy in a large skillet over low heat. Set aside and reserve drippings.
  2. Prepare the chicken by slicing and seasoning it. Sear in the reserved bacon drippings until golden.
  3. Boil the pasta in salted water until al dente, then drain.
  4. Make the sauce by melting butter, sautéing garlic, adding flour, then whisking in half and half and seasoning.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta and cubed chicken with the sauce, and garnish with crispy bacon bits.

Notes

For added flavor, consider garnishing with fresh parsley and serving with garlic bread.
