  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 teaspoons cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoons coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for about a minute.
  4. Introduce the chicken pieces and brown them on all sides.
  5. Mix in the pureed tomatoes along with cumin, coriander, chili powder, and salt, ensuring everything is well combined.
  6. Cover the pan and cook until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce thickens, around 20-25 minutes.
  7. Finally, sprinkle in the garam masala and let it cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with a side of rice or naan.
