Description
A creamy, spicy chicken dish with Cajun seasoning, perfect for weeknight dinners or dinner parties.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken: Sprinkle Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper on the chicken breasts, coating them evenly.
- Heat the oil: In a skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil until shimmering.
- Cook the chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the skillet, cooking them for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and thoroughly cooked. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté garlic: In the same skillet, toss in the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
- Add cream: Pour in the heavy cream, stirring well to scrape any delicious browned bits from the skillet’s bottom.
- Return chicken: Place the chicken back in the skillet, coating it with the creamy sauce.
- Simmer: Let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens to your liking.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley before serving hot.
Notes
You can substitute olive oil with butter for an even richer flavor. For a lighter option, half-and-half can replace heavy cream.
