- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup butter (melted)
- ½ cup pecans (chopped)
- 8 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 16 oz Cool Whip (1 large tub)
- 2 boxes chocolate instant pudding (3.9 oz each)
- 3 cups milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine flour, melted butter, and chopped pecans. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form your crust. Bake for about 15 minutes or until light golden. Let it cool completely.
- In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in about half of the Cool Whip into this mixture.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and the milk. Mix for about 2 minutes until thickened. Spread it over the cream cheese layer.
- Layer the remaining Cool Whip over the chocolate pudding, smoothing it out evenly.
- Refrigerate for at least 240 minutes (or overnight if time allows) before serving for the best taste and texture.
Notes
For best results, use room temperature cream cheese. Garnish with chocolate shavings or berries for added elegance.
