- 24 Oreo cookies
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups milk
- 1 (3.9 oz) package chocolate instant pudding mix
- 12 oz Cool Whip
- Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Crush the Oreo cookies in a large bowl and mix them with the melted butter.
- Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch dish to create your crust. Bake for 10 minutes and let cool.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Gently fold in one cup of Cool Whip and spread this mixture over the cooled crust.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk and chocolate pudding mix until thickened. Pour the mixture over the cream cheese layer, ensuring it’s evenly spread.
- Finally, spread the remaining Cool Whip on top of the pudding layer.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight if you can wait!).
- Before serving, you can garnish with chocolate shavings or dust with cocoa powder as desired.
Notes
For a lighter twist, substitute Oreos with gluten-free cookies or low-fat cream cheese. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator and consume within 3-5 days.
