Description

A delightful layered dessert that combines the rich flavors of chocolate with creamy textures, perfect for gatherings and celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 24 Oreo cookies
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 (3.9 oz) package chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 12 oz Cool Whip
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Crush the Oreo cookies in a large bowl and mix them with the melted butter.
  3. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch dish to create your crust. Bake for 10 minutes and let cool.
  4. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Gently fold in one cup of Cool Whip and spread this mixture over the cooled crust.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the milk and chocolate pudding mix until thickened. Pour the mixture over the cream cheese layer, ensuring it’s evenly spread.
  6. Finally, spread the remaining Cool Whip on top of the pudding layer.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight if you can wait!).
  8. Before serving, you can garnish with chocolate shavings or dust with cocoa powder as desired.

Notes

For a lighter twist, substitute Oreos with gluten-free cookies or low-fat cream cheese. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator and consume within 3-5 days.
