- 1 cup crushed chocolate cookies or brownie crumbs
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup cream cheese or Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup sugar or natural sweetener
- 1/2 cup melted dark chocolate
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- Fresh orange slices or zest for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Base: Combine crushed chocolate cookies with melted butter. Press into the bottom of a springform pan and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Make the Mousse: Whip the heavy cream to soft peaks. Blend cream cheese (or yogurt), sugar, and melted chocolate until smooth. Fold in whipped cream and spread over the chilled base. Refrigerate for 2 hours to set.
- Cook the Orange Glaze: Whisk together orange juice, honey, and cornstarch in a saucepan over medium heat until thickened. Cool slightly and pour over the set mousse.
- Assemble and Garnish: Once the glaze has set, top with fresh orange slices or sprinkle orange zest before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. For longer storage, freeze individual slices carefully wrapped.
