Description

Warm, cinnamon-sugar-coated biscuit bites that are quick and easy to make, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for the dough)
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and 1/4 cup granulated sugar.
  3. Cut in the cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the milk gently until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead it gently—don’t overdo it!
  6. Cut the dough into small bite-sized pieces and place them on your prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown.
  8. While they bake, combine the remaining 1/4 cup sugar and ground cinnamon in a bowl.
  9. As soon as they come out of the oven, brush the bites with the melted butter and roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute almond milk and for a healthier option, consider whole wheat flour.
