Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a large bowl and let it cool slightly.
  3. Whisk in both sugars until well combined.
  4. Incorporate the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until blended.
  5. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  8. Mix the additional granulated sugar with ground cinnamon and sprinkle it over the batter.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serve.
