- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a large bowl and let it cool slightly.
- Whisk in both sugars until well combined.
- Incorporate the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until blended.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- Mix the additional granulated sugar with ground cinnamon and sprinkle it over the batter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serve.
Notes
Best served warm with vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of melted chocolate. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
