Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk (for soaking the breadcrumbs)
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Soak the breadcrumbs in milk for about 5 minutes.
- Combine the ground beef, soaked breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, parsley, basil, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
- Mix everything together gently until just combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and browned.
- Serve with pasta, in a sub, or with marinara sauce.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute ground turkey or chicken. These meatballs can also be made gluten-free with gluten-free breadcrumbs.
