  • 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Press the unbaked pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate, crimping the edges as desired.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk the lightly beaten eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract together.
  5. Pour the egg mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well until smooth.
  6. Fold in the pecan halves, ensuring they’re evenly distributed throughout the filling.
  7. Pour this mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  8. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust becomes golden brown. If it browns too quickly, loosely tent the crust with aluminum foil.
  9. Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
