Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill, chopped (optional)
  • Juice of 1 lemon (about 2 tablespoons)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken dry and season both sides with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden-brown. Remove from skillet.
  3. Reduce heat and add the softened butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in minced garlic for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add Dijon mustard, red pepper flakes, parsley, and dill to the skillet.
  5. Pour in lemon juice and chicken broth, then add heavy cream. Stir and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Return the seared chicken to the skillet, cover and cook for 8-10 minutes, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. Garnish with additional parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For maximum flavor, use fresh ingredients. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
