- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh dill, chopped (optional)
- Juice of 1 lemon (about 2 tablespoons)
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Pat the chicken dry and season both sides with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden-brown. Remove from skillet.
- Reduce heat and add the softened butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in minced garlic for 1-2 minutes.
- Add Dijon mustard, red pepper flakes, parsley, and dill to the skillet.
- Pour in lemon juice and chicken broth, then add heavy cream. Stir and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Return the seared chicken to the skillet, cover and cook for 8-10 minutes, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Garnish with additional parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For maximum flavor, use fresh ingredients. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
