Description
Delightful crispy wonton wrappers filled with lump crab meat and cream cheese, perfect as an appetizer or snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 wonton wrappers
- 1 cup lump crab meat (fresh or canned)
- 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 2 green onions (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese with lump crab meat, green onions, garlic powder, and soy sauce. Mix until thoroughly combined.
- Assemble the Bombs: Place about one tablespoon of the crab mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold the wrapper over diagonally to form a triangle. Seal tightly to avoid any filling escaping during cooking.
- Heat the Oil: In a deep skillet, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry in Batches: Fry the bombs in batches, three to four at a time, for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Make sure not to overcrowd the pan.
- Drain: Once fried, drain the bombs on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Notes
For a healthier take, consider baking instead of frying. You can also customize the filling with herbs or spices for additional flavor.
