  • Total Time: 70 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x
  • Diet: Omnivore

Description

A comforting and hearty breakfast casserole loaded with eggs, crispy bacon, and cheesy hash browns, perfect for family gatherings or lazy Sundays.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 pound crispy bacon, chopped
  • 3 cups frozen hash browns
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
  3. Spread the hash browns evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the chopped bacon and shredded cheese over the hash browns.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the layers in the baking dish, allowing it to soak through.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the casserole is set and lightly golden on top.
  7. Once done, let it cool for a few minutes before cutting and serving. Enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use freshly grated cheese instead of pre-shredded. Prepare the casserole the night before to save time in the morning.
