- 1 ½ lb ground chuck
- 3 Tbsp sour cream
- 2 Tbsp ranch dressing mix
- ⅓ cup cooked and crumbled bacon
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Hamburger buns (your favorite type)
- Lettuce, tomato, mustard, mayo (for optional toppings)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chuck, sour cream, ranch dressing mix, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 6 equal-sized patties, about ¾-inch thick, and press a small dimple in the center of each patty.
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook to your desired doneness, flipping carefully with a spatula.
- Use a meat thermometer to check doneness: Medium-rare is 130-135°F, medium is 140-145°F, and well-done is 160°F.
- Allow the burgers to rest for a few minutes off the heat before serving.
Notes
You can substitute ground turkey for a leaner option. Experiment with different cheese varieties such as pepper jack or gouda.
