Description

A flavorful twist on classic green beans with crispy bacon, brown sugar, and soy sauce, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans Canned French-style green beans (drained well)
  • 6 slices Bacon (cooked until crispy)
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce (low-sodium if preferred)
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, then chop.
  3. In a bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Stir until well mixed.
  4. In a baking dish, layer the drained green beans. Pour the sauce over them and mix to coat evenly.
  5. Top with the chopped bacon, spreading it out evenly.
  6. Bake uncovered for about 30 minutes, or until bubbling and warm.

Notes

Best served warm. For added crunch, consider tossing in chopped walnuts or pecans. Can be prepared a day ahead and baked before serving.
