- 2 cans Canned French-style green beans (drained well)
- 6 slices Bacon (cooked until crispy)
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar
- 1/4 cup Butter (melted)
- 1/4 cup Soy sauce (low-sodium if preferred)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, then chop.
- In a bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Stir until well mixed.
- In a baking dish, layer the drained green beans. Pour the sauce over them and mix to coat evenly.
- Top with the chopped bacon, spreading it out evenly.
- Bake uncovered for about 30 minutes, or until bubbling and warm.
Notes
Best served warm. For added crunch, consider tossing in chopped walnuts or pecans. Can be prepared a day ahead and baked before serving.
