- 5 cans (14.5 oz each) cut green beans, drained
- 8 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
- 2/3 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels and crumble.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
- In the prepared baking dish, place the drained green beans and pour the sauce mixture over them, tossing to coat. Sprinkle crumbled bacon on top.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, until the sauce is bubbling and slightly thickened.
- Serve warm alongside your favorite dishes.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add a dash of red pepper flakes to the sauce. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days, or frozen for up to 3 months.
