Description

Crack Green Beans are a sweet and savory side dish combining crispy bacon and a luscious sauce that elevate any meal, perfect for family dinners or holiday feasts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 cans (14.5 oz each) cut green beans, drained
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels and crumble.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
  4. In the prepared baking dish, place the drained green beans and pour the sauce mixture over them, tossing to coat. Sprinkle crumbled bacon on top.
  5. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, until the sauce is bubbling and slightly thickened.
  6. Serve warm alongside your favorite dishes.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add a dash of red pepper flakes to the sauce. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days, or frozen for up to 3 months.
