- 5 cans (14.5 oz each) cut green beans, drained
- 8 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
- 2/3 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels, crumble, and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
- Place drained green beans in the prepared baking dish, pour the sauce mixture over, and toss gently to coat. Sprinkle crumbled bacon on top.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until the sauce is bubbly and slightly thickened.
- Serve warm for a sweet, savory experience.
Notes
For a lighter option, use turkey bacon. For gluten-free, try coconut aminos instead of soy sauce.
