  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Omnivore

Description

A delightful side dish of green beans blended with crispy bacon and a sweet-savory sauce that wows at every gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 cans (14.5 oz each) cut green beans, drained
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels, crumble, and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
  4. Place drained green beans in the prepared baking dish, pour the sauce mixture over, and toss gently to coat. Sprinkle crumbled bacon on top.
  5. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until the sauce is bubbly and slightly thickened.
  6. Serve warm for a sweet, savory experience.

Notes

For a lighter option, use turkey bacon. For gluten-free, try coconut aminos instead of soy sauce.
