  • Yield: 8 servings 1x
  • Diet: Non-Vegetarian

Description

A delightful dish that marries crisp green beans with savory bacon in a sweet and sticky sauce, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 cans (14.5 oz each) cut green beans, drained
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the bacon over medium heat until it’s nice and crispy. Drain on paper towels and crumble it into bits.
  3. Prepare the sauce by whisking melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper in a bowl until smooth.
  4. Assemble the dish by placing the drained green beans in the prepared baking dish. Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the beans and toss to coat. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon on top.
  5. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and slightly thickened.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy the sweet, savory, and rich flavors!

Notes

Consider adding a splash of balsamic vinegar for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to four days.
