Cracked Garlic Steak Tortellini in Creamhouse Sauce Bliss

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Meat

Description

A comforting blend of tender steak and cheesy tortellini in a creamy garlic sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Garlic powder, to taste
  • Smoked paprika, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat, then sear the steak until it reaches your preferred doneness (about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare). Remove from the pan and let rest.
  2. In the same pan, melt butter over medium heat and add minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and milk, stirring continuously, then add parmesan cheese, cooking until melted and the sauce thickens (about 3-5 minutes).
  3. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, add the tortellini, and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and toss with the sauce.
  4. Slice the rested steak into strips and add to the tortellini and sauce, tossing gently to ensure everything is coated.
  5. Serve topped with chopped parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper, if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, serve with a light salad or garlic bread to soak up the creamy sauce. If storing leftovers, add a splash of milk when reheating to restore creaminess.
