  • Smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the steak generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat, add the steak, and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove and let it rest.
  3. In the same skillet, add the butter and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and milk, stirring while bringing to a gentle simmer.
  5. Whisk in the parmesan cheese until the sauce is creamy and smooth.
  6. Cook the tortellini according to the package instructions, drain, and add to the skillet.
  7. Slice the rested steak and mix it with the tortellini and sauce until evenly coated.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper if desired.
